21 Lessons That 2021 Taught Me…
What a year it has been. For me, it was transformational on a soul and spiritual level. I was challenged, tested, upleveled, redirected and realigned. My word of the year was embodied, which felt fitting for the work I did over the year. I am not talking about career work, although that’s part of it. But I am talking about shadow work, a buzzy word you have probably heard in the spiritual world.
To be honest, it intimidated me at first but once I started to dive deeper into it, I was able to integrate new learnings and feel more aligned. What is shadow work exactly? It’s a way of confronting your triggers, shame or limiting beliefs and acknowledging them so you can work with them rather than bypass them with spiritual bypassing or toxic positivity. It can stem from facing past trauma or soul wounds, which can range from micro to macro situations you have dealt with and may be holding on to subconsciously. By embodying more compassion and clarity for my wounds, I was able to have a new perspective on them.
As I reflect on this past year, I wanted to share some takeaways that may be helpful for you to bring with you into a new year.
Rejection = REdirection, things are happening to realign you in a better path
Everytime you say no, it brings you closer to a HELL YES
Perfection is boring AF and it’s exhausting
Your thoughts DO NOT create your reality, but only you can do the inner work to recreate your reality
When you are not living in alignment, the universe will test you to realign you into your authentic self
Intentions without action won’t create impact. You must do the work to set your intentions into motion.
Your worth is not determined by others, the only validation you need is yourself
You are not for everyone and that’s ok
There are no wrong decisions, just decisions that lead you to new paths
Everyone is a mirror, what you are triggered by is a reflection of where you need to work through
You are allowed to change the price of what it costs to access you
Trying to change to please others hinders your authenticity and living in your truth
You cannot change someone else, they have to want to change for themselves
It’s okay to outgrow people and places that no longer serve you
Your value is not determined by how hard you work or how busy you are
Your higher self is always there, you don’t need to wait for something big to connect with her
You are your own guide, you don’t need to search for external sources to support you on your journey. All of the answers and tools live within you.
You are worthy of manifesting everything you desire, regardless of what you have overcome
Just like the moon, you must go through phases to fill full again
All of your vibrations and emotions are valid and allowed, even the “bad” ones
Only you can choose if you want to repeat the same patterns or if you want to choose a new path to elevate yourself
